Which interstate is a nicer drive? 89 or 91?
I will be travelling from Montreal, Quebec to Newfound Lake, New Hampshire in August. I can travel on I-89 or I-91. Both are relatively the same time (10 minutes difference). I was wondering which one makes for a nicer drive (scenery, restaurants, shopping, etc...)
Google maps says that the I-89 route takes 16 minutes more than the I-91 route. So the I-91 is shorter/faster
A-Best: They are both nice, but I'd give the nod to 91 for the easier border crossing, and the trip through the Townships to get to 91 is way nicer than the suburbs on the way down to 89.
A: both are scenic, but 91 is less traveled and has fewer exits. 89 has more shopping and restaurants along the way. 91 is the easier border crossing.
A: I have traveled both and, to me, both are equally nice.
A: 89, more restauraunts, more scenery, and shorter.
