how much would it cost me to hire a lawyer to do my background check in Michigan?
why i want to know is b/c i'm going to get a job and the place that is hiring is charging me $89 if i have them do my background. so i want to know if the lawyer is cheaper.

A-Best: You mean "private detective". Most likely more then $89. Do you really want a job with a company so callous?  

A: On this page: http://courts.michigan.gov/scao/services/dirs/tlinks.htm scroll down to find your county - it is free in nearly every state to view the court records online. If you need more records searched, for differing states, go to google type in "Circuit court access BLANK" replace blank with the name of the state. Websites online are trying to charge you for free information. Good luck! A: I sincerely doubt a lawyer would be cheaper. You can try one of those on-line websites like Intellius, but the $89 will probably be about as cheap as you're going to find.
